In the first year and a half of the project we focused on comparing the physiological and molecular response of different reef calcifying organisms to potential Future Reef climate scenarios. We are planning on scaling up from individual organismal responses to population and community level interactions. Our ambition is to fill in many of the research gaps that currently face coral reef managers when it comes to the effect of ocean acidification on coral reefs.
